With Canyon Endurace CF SLX 9.0, the German company understood the mission and brought us a multi-surface endurance bike that offers a mix of comfort, speed, and optimum performance.
Weighing about 7.38kg, this lightweight bike provides a balance between a fun, fast ride and great compliance. There’s no doubt that this Canyon Endurace CF SLX 9.0 bike is dreamy but is also pretty expensive, with a current price tag of $7,499. However, due to the great spec it offers, it has proved to be worth every penny.
The Canyon Endurace CF SLX 9.0 has a similar geometry to Canyon’s Sport, which provides an efficient position that makes sitting on the saddle for long hours less painful. At first sight, the bike looks nothing like an endurance bike; it looks more like a Canyon Ultimate, which is a race bike.

Comfort
The best part about the Canyon Endurace CF SLX 9.0 is its super-smooth performance. Its geometry not only revolves around comfort but also gears towards speed, which is a good thing as the ride is fun, fast, and smooth. It also provides a bit of an extra height at the front to reduce the pressure on your back. In every aspect, the bike is very comfortable, smooth and allows you to ride for long without breaking your back.
Seatpost
It features the S15 VCLS 2.0 CF Seatpost, which was developed by the brand. This seatpost was designed to absorb road buzz and shocks, allowing you to ride comfortably for hours. The German company explains this feature as a revolutionary leaf-spring concept that operates by allowing the rider achieve suspension-like movements in the seatpost.
Handlebar
The handlebar is the H31 version which is one of the company’s best integrated stems. Its reach is slightly shorter than other versions, and it offers a 6-degree setback on the tops that put you in a comfortable position when riding uphill. It also provides a 3-degree flare for more stable handling when dropping downhill. Its handlebar adds to the comfortable ergonomics of the bike; it is perfectly positioned and well-shaped.
Clearance
The bike has clearance for wider tyres; in fact, much of the bike’s compliance relies on the wide tires. Its 700×30 mm maximum tyre clearance is also pretty impressive and adds to the bike’s performance even in bleak conditions. It includes disc brakes that allows you to go wider, with the rubber providing an extra give when needed. When riding on bad roads, the tyres roll seamlessly over the broken tarmac.
Ride
The lightweight Endurance CF SLX 9.0 features hydraulic brakes and wireless mechs that transfer its weight to the ride. Its stiffness levels are high, making this bike great at attacking hills. On longer rides, the comfort levels of the Endurance really show out. One of the first things you may notice is the leaf-spring seatpost that tames bumps and vibrations. It allows a small amount of suspension movements which helps take the edge off rougher tarmacs. Its tyre clearance is also impressive, with room to go from 30mm to at least 32mm. The Reynolds wheels are tubeless, so you can reduce the pressure if you want. The geometry of this Endurance bike sits between a race and endurance bike, allowing you to have fun while being comfortable.

An endurance bike typically sacrifices a bit of performance for comfort; however, the Canyon Endurace CF SLX 9.0 doesn’t sacrifice much. It offers maximum comfort with a very high-performance level. It responds well under acceleration, is excellent at climbs, and offers the rider a fun, smooth ride.
